📘TABLE & CREATING A TABLE

💙 What is a Table?

  • A table is made of rows (horizontal) and columns (vertical)
  • Used to organize data neatly

👉 Example: Marks table, timetable, list, etc.


💚 Steps to Create a Table

  1. Click on the Insert tab
  2. Click on Table
  3. Select the number of rows & columns
  4. Click → Table is created!

📘EDITING A TABLE

💙 1. Editing Data

  • Click inside any cell
  • Type or delete text easily

💚 2. Inserting Rows

  1. Click inside a row
  2. Go to Layout tab → Insert Above / Below

💚 3. Inserting Columns

  1. Click inside a column
  2. Go to Layout tab → Insert Left / Right

💙 4. Deleting Rows/Columns

  1. Select row/column
  2. Click Delete → Delete Rows / Columns

💚 5. Deleting Entire Table

  1. Click anywhere in the table
  2. Go to Layout → Delete → Delete Table

📘FORMATTING A TABLE

💙 1. Adding Borders & Shading

  • Select table
  • Go to Table Design
  • Use:
    • Borders = lines
    • Shading = colors

  1. Select cells
  2. Click Shading (paint bucket)
  3. Choose color 🎨

💙 3. Merging Cells

  • Select cells
  • Click Merge Cells
    👉 Many cells → ONE big cell

  • Select a cell
  • Click Split Cells
    👉 One cell → MANY small cells

  1. Click inside the table
  2. Go to Table Design → Table Styles
  3. Choose a style
